Default Blazer RS question

Hi, We have a 2019 Blazer 3LT and are thinking of trading for a 2024 Blazer RS next year. My question is about the lower black gloss finish on the moldings. Now ours is a matte finish and have had no problems. Is the gloss finish more susceptible to stone chips and scratches? Appreciate any experiences and opinions.

Thank you.

I have 23 rs and had for almost 5 months and front bumper has lots of scratches that are fine abs small chips. My dealer said it’s common with that finish as was worried about it with lease.
