Brake upgrade for 2002 blazer 4x4

Hey guys! I'm pretty much a newbie here so sorry if this is the wrong place for this post but I'm looking to upgrade my front brakes and convert the rear brakes to discs. Can you guys point me in the right direction for a rear conversion kit and suggest some rotors and pads. Thanks!

Other threads on this site suggest swapping the rear axle. I personally would go to a junk yard and buy the backing plates, brackets and calipers and just switch everything over. I strongly suggest ceramic pads for performance and low noise.

Corvette brakes will fit on the front with 17 in rolling stock. Its a very worthwile up grade.

What rear axle would I swap to and what kind of car/truck would I be swapping these parts off of? Thank you!

Yeah, I've got a C5 corvette also and have seen posts about that, but I'll be sticking with 15in rims. I know for a fact that those brakes are awesome though! Thanks for the suggestion

My 2001 blazer 4x4 has rear disk brakes. I would suggest just getting the parts to put on your current axle.

98 and newer came standard with awesome 4 wheel anti-lock disc brakes. Are you looking to upgrade front, rear, or both?

I some day will upgrade the rear on my 93 to discs

The difference in stopping between my 1st-gen rigs and my 2nd-gen rigs is amazing. The 2nd gens stop much, MUCH better. It's comparable to a nice sedan as opposed to the 1st gens that stop..... eventually.

As mentioned you can easily get the parts to swap out drums to discs from a newer s10 setup. Or swap the entire rear. I installed a disc rear in my 1st gen with an adjustable prop valve. The increased stopping power is great. When I drive the g/f's blazer I notice the difference in pedal feel right away. I've yet to install the 2 piston 98+ front calipers, which you should already have.
