Changing Spark Plugs ?
A few random thoughts:
- The one in the middle on the driver's side is notorious for being hard to get out. There has been a special Snap-On socket for it but most of us McGyver a solution. I think installed a spark plug socket and used a wrench on it.
- They should only need to be replaced every 100k miles. As such, replace them with good quality ones. I used OEM ones.
- You might also replace the spark plug wires, and the rotor and distributor cap while you are at it. General consensus is to only use AC-Delco caps and rotors.
Take a look at this thread:

Access to the spark plugs is easier through the wheel wells. So the front end should be raised and the wheels removed. I found it easiest to access Spark Plug #2 (front passenger side) from the engine bay with a slim ratchet.
I installed ACDelco 41-993 iridium plugs. The gap is pre-set, but you might want to double check the gap before installation. Be careful not to drop the plugs on the concrete floor.
