Cheap replacement key fobs?

Hey guys, when I bought my truck it only came with one key fob for remote keyless entry. Now a solder point on the battery holder snapped, and I cannot solder, so it's time for a new one. I was thinking about picking up two so I have a backup as well.

Cheapest I'm finding on ebay are 20 bucks, anybody know anywhere I can get them cheaper?

That's cheaper than I've ever seen, there's a add on this site every now and again i forgot what the site is called but their key fobs are about 40 shipped and at the dealer they are 70. so i think 20 is pretty good.

Yeah, 20 for a used fob with no guarantee of it working isn't my idea of "cheap" though, haha.

ohh lol i thought you were talking about buying a new key fob. well then the cheapest ive seen (with guarantee of working) is 40$ on that site. or i suppose you could learn to solder, practice on something else then put a little drop of solder on that point, couldnt hurt to try right? well unless you dont have access to a solder gun.

I'd have to buy a soldering iron which would end up costing me about the same as one of these, haha.

I may end up having a buddy try and solder this one for me, but I'd still like to have a backup one too.

I just bought (this week) a remote from keyless4u on Ebay for $34 shipping was FREE for my 98 Blazer. I have bought from them before & they have always sold me remotes in excellent condition working perfect. Remember you need to buy a remote with the same Part# & FCC# as your old one.

The part # does NOT need to match. All you need to match is FCC ID and your good to go. I am using one from an Impala for my Jimmy, and it works PERFECT!
