It's not the first time I have seen that picture, but there isn't much information anywhere about that system. Looks way to complicated to be practical.

Patent was filed for in 1972. Did a little reading around the net. Seem`s this set-up was used on 4x4 vans. |

Wow. Thats really different. Not too far out there tho. I'm sure ever axle company and gear guy in his basement are thinking up new ways to drive a vehicle. Whats not a fuel problem, could be solved by a drive problem.
Pretty neat. I would like to see how this performed in real world and 4x4 situations. |
