Clutch assembly size

Stupid me threw away the old pressure plate and disc not knowing there were multiple sizes available for the blazer (305/sm465).

I'm going to get the flywheel resurfaced tomorrow and order my clutch at the same time. I'm wanting to get a 12" disc and diaphragm plate as it's for my 16 year old to drive. This should give him a fairly forgiving setup. The only thing is I'm not sure if a 12" will fit.

Any easy way to figure out if a 12" will fit? I'm looking at either the LUK or AMS kits.

Also (again I have more import background) is the OEM TOB best to use or are the TOBs that come with these kits sufficient?

I have a 12" clutch in mine. It fits just fine. I've never had an issue using the bearings that come with the kit, but I try to buy decent quality kits and I'm not hard on throwout bearings (transmission in neutral and foot off the clutch if I'm going to be stopped for more than about 5 seconds).

Cool thanks. I’m reading good things about the LUK kit. Thinking that’s the winner.

Luk makes a good clutch. You shouldn't have any problems.
