Cowl hood
 

I just bought a new cowl hood for my 99 blazer lt! I have moved all the latch components around and cannot find a solution for this. The hood is extremely hard to latch. I have to pretty much dent it to get it closed all the way. Any ideas why this is happening? Thanks.

everything lubed, properly aligned where the hood bolts to the hinges, bump stops adjusted correctly?

im guessing bumpstops, since you didnt mention it

It's a styleline cowl hood. The bump stops are down as far as they will go. And the best I can tell, everything is lubed and lined up properly.

remove the bumpstops completely and see if it helps,if so,you gotta do some grinding on em.

I got it fixed. Had to move the bracket that holds the latch to radiator support. It was like a 1/4 off. Works great now. Thanks for the help guys!

Glad you got it fixed! I gotta line my stock hood up a bit, but I am going to wait until I get the cab mounts replaced.
