why not those things are fixable but your gonna have a decent truck to last you a lifetime

Every vehicle has it's quirks, there's really no way for anybody to say if it'll be a good truck, or if it'll blow up in month..

My 2001 has 139K on the clock, fuel gauge acts up below 1/4 tank, needs shocks...
Cranks up every time though and I wouldn't hesitate to take her across country, infact I'm leaving here Friday morning and driving it 7 hours to Pensacola, Fl.

Did I buy it thinking it would last a "lifetime"? No.
Do I plan on owning it a lifetime? No.
Do I think it's reliable / safe enough to put my family in? Yes.

Look it over really well, if it looks good buy it, if not walk away.

My 01 Blazer has a little over 130K miles on it... Sure i fixed a few things on it like my fuel gauge didnt work accurately sometimes it would go from empty to full on a drive or my heater core had to be replaced but besides that i believe my blazer will still operate perfectly for many years to come

These things last forever, mine has 280k on stock motor and trans. Yes the fuel gauge acts up every once in awhile but overall its a great vehicle that will last you a LONG time if that's what you're looking for

thank you all for the advise.does it cost that much to replace the heater core and the fuel gauge.

xgiovannix12 07-07-2011 01:40 PM

heater core cost around 700 bucks to replace with labor cause its a pain to change
and the sending unit (gas gauge) not sure cause i changed it my self on our trucks

do you think a extended warranty would cover the cost of replacing the core and the gauges?

xgiovannix12 07-07-2011 01:54 PM

extended warranty meaning? your buying from the dealer?
