man, you guys can get mean. ya everything costs money but come on take it easy on him. he's just trying to save some cash, good idea. especially if he doesn't have any. besides you were all like that at one point in time everyone was. when i was 14 and got my first truck, i tried to "customly" modify things also. everyone did...

I bought my first truck when I was 12, I worked and still didn't try to hack anything or make something work. It took me a year of working on hay farms, bushhogging, and mowing yards to save up to buy lowering springs and blocks.
I'm not against somebody doing their own work but do it right. Too many hacked up rigs out there that take out other people, we don't need another one. Do it right now and spend a little money or do it wrong and spend a bunch later on fixing it and doing it like should have in the first place.
