Daytona 500 Today
I'm a Roush racing fan. I hope to see the #17 in Victory lane today.

I'm Chevy all the way, but think it would be cool if the Woods Brothers won it again.

At least when Rousch and Yates were opposing teams, we got some really great head designs out of it. And Woods Bros were brilliant in the day but THEN it took real talent to build a fast and reliable car.. they more or less invented the 'Racing Team' concept. I'd hoped that the EFI system would only be standardized as far as throttle body diameter and telemetry. Pipe dreams. Would really mean something if the EFI had to be offered on mfr production vehicle And if NASCAR really gave a crap they'd specify engines had to be OHC. |

Whats the matter with the new vettes, cameros, mustangs. For that matter why not have throwback like NFL did with uniforms, bring out the Superbird again, especially for Daytona. Setup right if he didn't pull in the pits at the start of the race, floor it, and say catch me if you can that would be epic. That car could turn 200 mph the Toyota sure won't. |
.
So what does everybody think about Danica Patrick actually finishing a race? lol

Sorry Guys but we all know JR. is taking it home today ! He'll be in victory lane 4sure !! It's his year !

As planned I broke out the smoker, fired up the coals and loaded it up with meat. As always I waited for the flag to drop before tilting back that first beer. That never happened and now I feel sick from eating meat without drinking beer. I don't think I'll be able to make it into work tomorrow.

Woohoo!!
Congrats to Matt Kenseth along with the 17 race team and Roush Racing.

Just as I expected:
4 Chevy's 3 Fords 3 Toyotas in top ten Did not show: Dodge Now, I'd like to take this occasion to remind all you that it was GM opened the can of worms that allowed Toyota in. They didnt want to build a TBird competitor. And also note when you looked at the driver profiles and the thumbnails of their cars you cant tell a damn bit of difference between the makes. So dont bitch about Toyota being there. They ARE built in US and designed for the US market. |
