- new spark plugs
- spark plug wires - rotor - cap - radiator - brake rotors - ceramic brake pads annnndd I now confirm after driving a bit, by passenger side front brake, SMOKES like a mad man. Think because when i was wheeling i bent it? so now its rubbing constantly? my car also pulls to the right really hard, so that might be the reason its pulling so hard. also, REAR DRILLED & SLOTTED BRAKE ROTORS W/ CERAMIC PADS - eBay (item 270729128411 end time May-01-11 11:21:57 PDT) Worth it? or cheap garbage? |
If it's smoking that bad and pulling...you may have a seized caliper and or blown seal that is allowing either rubber or fluid to contact the brakes. I'd count on more than just pads and rotors at this point.

how much is that fix?
|
better yet, any way i can just fix the caliper itself?
Im gonna take the wheel off tomorrow and see whats going on. |
you can get a new caliper from advance not sure how much they are, you will have to bleed your brakes once you replace it, those rotors look ricey. and for that price I bet they are cheap. Nice slotted rotors are usually $60+ a rotor and ceramic brake pads are usually like $50 for 4, I wouldn't trust those

Just took off my caliper.... Was able to push one piston in, and im waiting on a friend with a c clamp to try to push in the other. Hopefully that will do it.
|
now im habing a problem with the truck like "sputtering" or hesitating while accelerating in first gear now would that be the spark plugs?
|
get up off my caliber thread bro. lolz.... but I just took the caliper and pushed the pistons back in. No more hardcore rubbing for the time being. Im driving to palm coast today so we'll see how it goes.
