Driving with back glass open

Hi everyone I just purchased a 94 2 door s10 blazer 4x4 and am wondering if I can drive with the rear glass above the tailgate open? If I had some 8 foot boards sticking out the back can I just leave the glass up? Thanks for any input.

Sure I don't see why not. Shouldn't harm anything.

Get some bungee cords or twine or whatever and pull the back glass down and secure it to the boards. Might want to put some kind of cushion between the glass and boards. Much better than having that back glass flapping in the wind or hitting a bump pretty hard.

Definately secure the glass. I've seen at least two posts in the past where people were driving with them up and hit bumps and the glass slammed down and shattered.

And open front window or put HVAC on HI. Without some ventilation it may pull in exhaust gasses.

Just make sure A the cab is ventilated and B you strap the glass down a bit, and the boards, use those A Rings on the cargo floor.
many years ago me and my family were heading to the airport and we ran out of fuel, i ran back to the house on foot, hopped on my bike with a gas can and stuck the bike hanging out the glass of what is now my Trailblazer during highway driving for over an hour with the glass held down by a pair of earbuds.
