Firearm rack for Blazer
 

Howdy all,
I am setting my ride ready for hunts. I am looking for a neat rack for the shotgun or a rifle (long barrel):
- most preferably overhead (easy access)
- one unit capacity
Is there anything designed especially for Blazer? I would probably have to order it abroad, so my intention is to make sure it is going to fit the ride.

I have been looking off and on for over 17 years for a gun rack and have found nothing made for Blazers. A few "universal fit" overhead ones are the best I've found but haven't bought one. I think something custom made would be best.

However, I wasn't expecting that kind of reply.
As an outdoor enthusiast I enjoy quality & durable products of a companies like Maxpedition or Black Hawk. My first thought was to browse their offers. Sadly, Maxped has not much to offer except the backpack & pouches. Black Hawk is more into tactical & law enforcement equipment, so it was my first try. They do offer holsters, but for a short-barrel hardware. I got some results on Cabela's, but the racks did not look convincing. Then I've decided to ask here. I could even bet there are companies that offer an universal racks with a dedicated mounts for Chevy/Ford/Dodge etc. And then You came with a negative answer :) That sounds line a business opportunity for some open minded and skilled person.
I used to handcraft things myself, but then quite often I find myself reinventing the wheel.

Ah, so that would explain the ".308" in your handle! For elk I prefer my 7mm Rem. Mag. but used for many years my father's Springfield in .30-06. For deer in the woods I like my .30-30 Win. 94. :)
