First post wanted info on a few ?s on my 2000 Bravada

I was wondering if it was even necessary to lift my bravada up an 1 1/2 or 2" to get through the winters here. We can have maybe 1" or maybe a 2 foot of snow here in Indy. I live in the country so i have alot of drifting snow, in front and behind my house is all farm land.

If so, what kit should i go with and would i have to change anything else?

Should i change the wheels and tires or stay with my current wheels and just get snow tires for winter and keep my current tires for other seasons. I wont really drive it to much unless it snows because of my work commute. (i have a camry for daily driver) Also my g/f has a fwd Ford Escape.

I was also wondering if this is a good deal for a brush guard, wouldnt mind making it look nice and doing other fun mods if you have any recommendations im up to it.

My third and final question sorry for so many, but my luggage rack paint is peeling bad and would like to take it off and have my buddy spray it but i dont see any instructions to take it off and see no way to take off the front piece. I see the star bolts on the racks on the side which i can remove..

Thanks for any help.

I have been eyeballing adding a rough country 2.5" lift with a set of cooper discoverer a/t3s on my 4dr 4x4 blazer.

Every time I see a lifted 4dr on 31's it does not help me resist the urge to mod it more.

Your bravada should get around just fine though, the only thing holding it back is the lack of a low range in the transfer case if the need should ever be warranted for its use.

I drove the 04 s10 last year with 3 mismatched tires and only needed the 4x4 a handful of times. Of course we didn't have squat for snow last year either. The s10 now has a g80 added and four matching Cooper Discoverer A/T3s. I'm just waiting on it to snow a lot to see how it goes now. Now to get mother nature to cooperate and dump 2 foot of snow and it not be 60deg the next day like it has been doing lately.

You dont need to life it to get through that amount of snow.
I have yet to ever get stuck and I live in MN, even in the winter we got 96" of snow (2010) did not get stuck once. Even pulled a passat home in 19" blizzard with bald tires and a dry/cracked rad and it did fine

As for tires I run a 235x75x15 6 ply (C rated) with a nice tread design. I have run Dayton's, right now I have a set of GeoTrac. Tread with lots of sipping is the best I think. We live in the Eastern Sierra's 7400 ft over sea level right at the mouth of Yosemite NP part of the year.

I like my cooper discoverer a/t3s on the s10. So much in fact I am going to get a set for my blazer as well.

I've got a 99 bravada and mine came with a g80 ( I believe all the bravada did but not 100%) & my smartrak has never worked right & so it's a glorified 2wd & even so on stock tires & stock height I was busting thru 1-2ft drifts no problem on he highway & the got truck drifted in on night & she got out with just alittle rocking & that was about 1.5 ft deep.
Now it's has 4.5in of lift & on 31s I was busting 3-4 drifts last winter & never got stuck no matter how big the ur drift got around her @ night. So as long as your not going to great north on an expidition she'll get ya where you wonna go & even thru some places she doesn't want to be.
