Gasoline Additives

I was just curious, how many members here use a gasoline additive or fuel injector cleaner on a regular basis? I recently had the injectors on my '00 Jimmy cleaned at the dealership and thought maybe I should occasionally use a gas additive as preventive maintenance. If so, what brand, such as Chevron Techron and how often? Are they safe to use? I'd appreciate any input from anyone. Thanks.

The only think I use is Iso Heet in the cold months of winter to ensure I don't collect any ice in my injectors like I did before hand on the super cold days or when I would make a trip south and back north. But I don't use anything else, I've always wondered how much of a gimmick those bottles of magic are. So I'm interested to see other opinions as well :)

I've been using Lucas gas treatment for more than a few years on more than a few vehicles. I've never had any problems and I can say it helped clean things up when my Blazer sat for most of this winter due to a no start problem (since fixed). It was stumbling pretty hard under load. After a couple of fresh tanks of gas and the Lucas everything is back to normal.

I normally toss a bottle in every 4-5 fill ups. Do the same on the wife's car.

i agree with AJ... i do the same with the Lucas additive but not as often. i normally do it every 2500 miles in wifes car and every 6 months in the blazer
