Hi lift

Just picked up a hi lift jack and was wondering what kind of luck people have had lifting their blazers in different places. Basically I guess I'm asking where people have found it works well and where it doesn't also are any of the wheel/bumper lift accessories worth their price? Any tips or tricks to make it easier and safer to operate also?

Works well on my offroad bumpers and sliders.

If you have factory bumpers and no sliders I'd leave it at home. I take that back, they do work as a pos come-a-long if its all you got.

Tips is stand to the side of the bar at all times and never over it or under it. Use it only when you have to as a way to lift a truck. S-series bumpers were not designed to use as a lifting point so don't get mad when it wrinkles/folds if you try it. Those wheel straps are only good for the jack leaning and the top going into the fender or body side. Ive seen both happen more than once. Even on "level" concrete my ex boss put the top through the rear door of his work van on the bumper using the special chains.

I've only used mine once, and it was on-road. It is the only jack I have in my Blazer, so I didn't have much choice. I had the left rear go flat, and I first tried to jack from my trailer hitch. The problem was it was lifting both back tires, and was very unsteady. After it fell off the jack three times (with the left rear off...) I moved the jack to the bumper, closer to the left side. This only lifted the left rear corner, leaving the right rear on the ground. I was able to get the tire on this way.

The bumper took it fine, no dents or wrinkles. But I'm not sure how well it would hold up again. I might have just got lucky.

Well I went ahead and bought their wheel lift accessory and have to say it makes a huge difference. It's much more stable and secure.
