I have a 96 with 97,000 miles. I had a 91 that had 270,000 on stock motor an rebuilt tranny before I got rid of it.

I've noticed a lot of people say their engines have lasted, but a bunch of rebuilt/different trannys? What's the deal with that? I've heard the tranny for the 4.3 was crap but after beating the hell outta mine it still gets the job done.
