So I traded my s10 for a 1981 k5 blazer.
Not much of the drivetrain is original. It has a big block cadillac 500 with about 2000 miles on it. The trans is a turbo 400 with a shift kit, and has just about 5000 miles on it. The rear axle is a large 14 bolt and the front is a dana 44. It has 38x15.50x16 Introco TrXus STS. It has a 9" superlift suspension lift and a 3 inch body lift. It runs great and rides smooth on the highway.
I have to put brakes on it and then it will be my daily driver.

does that motor have any *****? i havent seen a 500 in years. my first car was a coupe deville with a 500. car was a turd but im still kicking myself for not keeping that engine.

 

I will get a sound clip up in the next few days, Ive got an exhaust leak that needs to be fixed first.
It's got some *****. Nothing like the pep of a small block, but it'll do everything I need it to. Cruising of the highway at 65, the tach was only at 2500.
It needs different gearing, which will be by the end of this summer. I just got done doing front wheel bearings, seals and brakes.

Nice lookin' truck. I hope you are saving up for a Dana 60 for the front or plan on keeping it to very light offroading. 38's with a 44 can spell disaster.
