ive been a full time mechanic for about 4 months now and one of my pet peeves is filling spare tires. i would say at least half if not more are flat and 75% are only half full. usually on the ones underneath the vehicle as i cant really see a mom rolling under her van to check her tire. its a thankless job as im sure they never know

Yes my mom would be one of the people that doesn't check the spare. I remember when I was younger the spare in the trunk of her old car was always flat no matter when.

Yeah, a spare tire is one of those things you don't think about until you get a flat then you go oh **** I knew I should have had a working spare.

That is generally when you find out you don't have something is when you need it.

And I ended up barrowing my girlfriends grandfathers exploer for the evening cause my tire is flat and well guess what his rear passenger tire went flat and the spare was flat. So I think I'm having some horriable luck with tires this weekend. Anybody wanna trade some luck?

Haha sounds like a deal. I'm going to put a spare (from my girlfriends dads blazer) on today and need all the luck I can get.
