im having a serious problem

my name is ryan and my blazer is screwed. i had an intake gasket leak, so being th eacft mechanic that i am i took the top part of my engine apart and decided to try and fix it, well i found a step by sep picture guide someone made and followed that, and it helped out alot, but after i let the rtv set and went to go drive it, i lost massive amounts of torque, it feels like my motor is going to stall out, i let off the gas and pump it a few times and it gos just fine... im baffeled. i didnt have this problem before and i cant find anything wrong... i know thats not a whole lot of info but anything would be helpful right now.

what year and motor size? if u removed the lower intake manifold u would have had to remove the distributor. was the intake torqued at the right spec and in the right sequence? did the distributor go back in the way it came out. Timing off? whats vacuum pressure? map/maf sensor plugged in?

Yeah Im thinkink the distributor is put in a tooth or two out. Theres not much that you can do to make it run bad. And with the timing off it will still run, but not have the power you need when you need the timing to advance.

Bring your #1 up to top dead center and reinstall your dist pointing at number one. I think that will be about 4-5oclock position when standing in front looking at it.
