Just took my first road trip in my Blazer.

I went to a family reunion up in Pagosa Springs, CO. That's about a 400 mile one way trek up north from where I live. The Blazer did pretty good on the road, got anywhere from 18-22 mpg on the road, doing between 70-85 mph on both flat and mountain roads. Pulled the hillspretty good thoughsome of the 4th to 2nd downshifts onsome of the hillswere a bit jarring, lol. If I have one complaint, it is that GM didn't install a footrest for the left foot.[:'(]

Heh heh heh. I live in Steamboat, CO and last summer I drove from here to Jackson Mississippi and back. Thanksgiving last year I drove from here to Phoenix and back. This past May I drove from here to the Twin Cities and back. Each trip my A/C blew hot air only so the windows were down the entire time. I averaged 20 on the first two trips and 18-19 on the recent one, though I was driving much faster. These things are great for road trips. Plenty of space for gear and enough room for me to sleep at the rest stops.:)

I usually use the flat spot on the wheel well, to the left of the clutch... or stick it out the window, if it's nice out.
