You still have to push the button. It removes the failure prone vaccumm activation. Here is another really good DIY:

You're talking about engaging the front diff, op was asking about manually shifting the transfer case. Two different mods.

Yeah they are completey different mods. I have done the posi-lock but not the manual t-case mod although it may be in my future depending how long the boss tells me I have to wait before I can do a motor swap and SAS. I will probably stil end up doing it just because I can though!!!

Hold on here. So when you push the 4wd button on the dash, it engages the t-case AND the front diff?

yeah it will remove the push button option, which is the eletric motor not working and it will never die in the trails like my push has just done

and i will be doing the home made posi locker like rex for the front, no more electric / vacuum crap !

so when you get this done and your getin ready to test it you "engage" the transfer case with the wrench "shifter" and your in 4 low or high???

Yes but you have to do the posi lock as well and engage that also! You also have to remember that when your done with 4x4 put your transfer case back in 2x4 and disengage the posi lock.

Wonder if you can get this in a kit or transplant a different one from a older blazed that had manual 4x4
