Is this the Manuf.Motor for 95's?
 

Hi All,

I when to a party and I meet 2 other gyu's with Blazers(00,01 2dr's).When they saw my engine,one said it was not the original motor cause of the intake head,etc...the other said the contraire.

I am persuated that these years came with that engine top.I know of those 2nd generations motors and all but..hum...

Yup, looks like a CPI 4.3L to me. '95 was the last year for the CPI motor. Kind of odd since '95 was the first year for the new body style, but it's the stock engine just the same.

yup thats your original motor. the guy who said it wasnt was just basing that on the looks of his 00 or 01, they do look different. ours have the "vortec" logo on the air box in the bottom right corner of the engine bay instead of on the manifold.

Yes, '93-'95 had those engines. '96 started the newer looking 4.3's.

EDIT: Well there's your answer! In the time it took me to find out what years your engine was in Blazers, two people confirmed your gut feeling. Tell those newer Blazer owners to broaden their horizons! :D
