It built up pressure. The air pressure didn't go from one cylinder to the other.

I used the hose from my compression tester. Let me test is again with just the air line. I think the hose from my compression tester only goes in one direction???? Towards the gage.

If your compression tester has a Schrader (tire) valve, remove it.

Just stuck the air line on it and it definitely blows back and forth through those 2 cylinders.

Sounds like a blown head gasket, then. If you didn't drive it too long like that, the head and block are probably alright.

I noticed it on my way home frome work. Maybe 20 miles.
I will change that out today and tomorrow and let you know how it works out. I truely appreciate your quick responses. Thank you.

I had some major issues getting the exhaust manifold out of the way but got it done. There are 3 bolts under the rocker arms that I think need to come out to pull the head. Can I remove the rocker arms without the springs going crazy on me? I really done want to lose a finger.

Yes, the springs will stay in place on the valves.

I would say that you were correct. I will clean everything up and start the reassemble. I will make sure the bolts are torqued to spec. Sould I have the head inspected? And do you have any chevy tricks for reassemble that I should know about?
