need advice

well my 98 blazer is coming up to the 200,000 mile mark and want to know just with an answer if with the correct maintenance if the whole thing could make it to 250,000 or more. every thing seems strong and good but a few things.

1. when it starts it feels like it wants to die( stumbles a bit but is not rough, just not normal.)
2. it does shack and vibrate at 60 but good at 75.
3. it has a small oil leak/burn(one quart every 6 months)

i just need to know if i have a chance to get some good miles out of my blazer.

thanks to all

None of that sounds major.
1. When was the last time it had a tuneup? AC Delco platinum plugs are good for 100k, but you should be ready for your 3rd set. I'd do wires/dist cap/rotor also.
2. Sounds like a tire out of balance. Rotate front-to-rear and see if it changes or goes away.
3. If it's a leak, it could be alot of things...rear main seal, intake manifold, valve cover gaskets, distributer seal, oil pan gasket, front timing cover gasket, oil pressure sending unit, etc. The only way to know is to degrease the engine and keep checking to see what gets oily first. If it's not leaking, (though it probably is) it could have worn piston rings. Does it smoke? A compression test will reveal if this is the problem or not. But with that many miles, I'd put my money on one or more of the aforementioned items causing a leak(s).

RE: need advice

it does not smoke. and it does look a bit greasy it the front bottom(i think the timing cover). it still drives great and powerful. but i am going to sea foam it today. any one have any advise on doing that. i got the 1pt can.

update: i sea foamed it and it runs REALLY GREAT now. it seems good now but i still would like to know about how long the engines and trans. work in these trucks if kept well. but i did gige the tires a rotate and that is when i felt the vibrations so i think it is ok. i am going to degrease the engine and tell you all what i found

thanks
