Need Help figuring out how to get a bolt out

Okay... so I was changing the front brake pads on my bf's '99 Burban. And I made the mistake of letting him try to do the other side while I finished up the driver side. He broke the Bleeder Bolt Head off... even tho I gave him the 7/16 to loosen the brake line from the caliper.

Anyway, we've tried to use the Extracter to get it out but yet again... made the mistake of letting the Marine "Machinist" do it and he drilled the hole too big. So... I was wondering if y'all had anyother ideas that I could try because this needs to be fixed by this weekend. I can always take it to a Machine shop and see if I have any luck there.

I also thought about drilling the hole to fit a smaller Bleeder Bolt since I bought an assortment anyway. I don't know...

As stupid as it sounds I've had good luck using a drill bit slightly bigger then the hole spinning in reverse to take out broken bolts before. Worth a try I am sure you have a drill bit/drill laying around somewhere. Make sure it's turning as slow as possible.

new calipers are usually pretty cheap

X2

No telling what has gotten into the system by drilling all the way through now. You might be able to get it out only to find the seals on the pistons are leaking due to metal that got in there during the drilling/extracting process.

Yeah, I guess I'll go pick one up tomorrow or Friday. I don't have to buy both Driver and Passenger do I?

At least some good came of this. Know I know to never let him do mechanical work again

Edit: Nevermind, he wants me to pick up 2 anyway...

Oh and AJBert, he's from Gulf Port too.. Just realized that lol

I'll be on the lookout for a wrench weilding Marine and make sure I go the other way then!

That would be a very good idea... I'll be sure to let you know ahead of time if he goes home on Leave lol.
