Need help finding a part name
Vehicle make: 2003 Chevy blazer LS 2dr
My 4x4 is not working properly, and this is the suspected culprit. I would appreciate if one of you fellow blazer drivers know what I can look up to find a place to purchase one. Napa , rock auto etc.
thank you

Check out the parts diagram here. It is part 14, a housing for the cable that engages the right-front drive axle to the front differential.

What do you think is wrong? What are the symptoms?

Thank you so much Christine. Those diagrams were a big help. The main problem was that it has a problem with switching to 4x4 on the first few presses. I had my journeyman take a look and he called the actuator so that is going to be our first test repair. Just needed a more specific name to find out how where I can purchase it. Had a suspicion it could also be the vacuum lines but was pointed in the direction of an actuator.
All in all that helped a lot for a product name. Appreciated.

Something else to try is to see if you can engage the front axle actuator directly with only a vacuum pump or even by manually pulling on the cable. This will help you diagnose what is going on and perhaps save you the trouble of crawling under your truck to work on the front axle.
Good Luck!
