new blazer owner

hello i recently purchased a 92 full size blazer sport, i came from the world of broncos so consider me your newest convert ha ha. i know little yet about blazers and could find little info online as to what the "sport" designation meant, was hoping for some info and possibly a link to some info on the "sport" so i can start learning a little more on own about my new purchase and be a tad less ignorant

welcome to the forum.

as for your sport package, all i could find was that it's badging says sport, and "A Blazer Sport was offered with a flat graphite color applied to the lower areas of the vehicle and fender flares."

ealier Sport Models had things like upgraded interiors (more trim, sport steering wheels, more sound proofing, etc), better rim options, and some dress up trim on the seats and such.

this page also says there was an enhanced 200 hp 4.3l offered that year....

there is probably more, but :icon_shrug:

Sport = what i put above... but it looks like the enhanced engine listed on that page wasn't for you then... :icon_hide:

sport also means 2 dr in full-sized trucks...

Yeah but full size blazers only came in 2 door until the Tahoe was introduced in 95 and the blazer name was dropped by the fullsize line. I'm sure "sport" on the full size was a graphics/paint/pinstripping package and maybe some interior changes/options. And maybe wheels but I've only seen 1 style of stock wheels on the early 90s fullsize vehicles. I'm sure someone or somewhere holds the answer. Hell if all else fails call your local chevy dealer. I'm willing to bet someone there will be able to answer the question!

My friends full size mud buggy is a 93 sport. Had a 5.7, and DID have the graphite paint scheme and fender flares/moulded running boards, and mag wheels
