What' up peeps, just got a blazer 02 black 4dr. 135k , what should I keep an eye for , everything seems to be original so I figure the issues are coming soon haha

Welcome to the group! You've come to the right place to keep your Blazer on the road.

The thing that worried me the most when I first learned of it was the notoriously bad lower intake manifold gaskets (LIM gaskets) that can fail catastrophically letting coolant dump into the lifter valley and into your oil sump. Much damage then occurs. Thankfully many here (including myself) have experience replacing these. Be sure to use the upgraded parts for it.

Everything else that I can think of will give you warning that it needs replaced.

Off the top of my head other things that will likely need attention:

• brittle/leaky under-hood vacuum hoses for the HVAC and 4wd system
• loose front end components
• leaky remote oil-filter/cooler lines

Christine named a few I was thinking.... Oil cooler lines, LIM gasket.

Front suspension parts seem to go bad quicker than expected.

The driver side door panel wears down and breaks over time.

The wiper motor circuit board usually need touched up with solder or replaced.

I'm sure there are plenty more missed. :icon_denk:

I just changed the downstream o2 sensor with some help on here.

First thing I noticed with mine, never trust your fuel gauge. After 1/2 fuel mine will sometimes stay where it should be for the fuel level, other times it'll go down to completely empty and then all of a sudden goes straight to full. I fill up every week for peace of mind. Fuel pumps seem to go on these fairly commonly, somewhat easy to change since there's 2 ways to do it, drop the tank or cut through your trunk.

If you have a G80 rear end (check RPO codes in glove box, they're on a sticker) don't act like an idiot doing full throttle stuff on dry pavement, like trying to drift, or else you could find out why that diff is also called the "Gov-Bomb"...
