Default New break in the downed blazer!

So i was browsing craigslist like i normally do, and came across a 1986 s10 with a mildly built 350! asking $2500 and open to any trades.

So i emailed him, and i explained that mine has a clean body etc, just needs a motor. And he said he was very interested and would like pics.

He said he's going to give it some thought, and if he does, should i go for it?

heres the link

1986 Chevy S-10 V-8/Auto 350/350 Fun&fast truck....Sale or trade

He owns a chevy truck shop so putting a motor in the downed blazer wouldnt be a problem for him. I thought this would be a good oppurtunity to get myself out of the bind im in.

NEEDS YOUR OPINIONS!!

Good luck doing a tuneup on that truck when it needs it, haha. Otherwise looks good, if you don't need the space of a Blazer (and since yours isn't running) it may not be a bad idea.

yeah, from my point of view... im broke, have no car, and am offered a car for even trade, or some cash along with it. Its a running daily driver as he said. I mean, if it came down to it, i could just re sell it if reeeeaaaallllyyy felt like it.

You would probably get more for it than your blazer at least. However, you mention being broke. I don't know what gas is down in Florida, but up here in Chicago it's about 4.50 and only getting higher. A 350 isn't going to get good gas mileage obviously. Just something to keep in mind.

Yeah, i understand, i mean, my blazer sucked on gas pretty bad. but, ive never owned a 350, so its probably alot worse. And im sure i could get more for that than my blazer.

im curious to know why this guy would be selling this truck if he put so much work into it. Smells fishy. Keep the blazer and get a deal for putting a motor into your blazer, and buy a cheap moped for fuel efficiency.

Man thats a good trade for sure. Gas is gonna kill you, cause V8 S10s are hella fun and you are gonna be mashing it everywhere. I could use a whole tank in an evening of pissing around with my old one. If you drive it tamer than your blazer, you will get about the same milage as you are used to. I always got crappy milage and bought 2 pair of tires every year for mine...

It also says it has a Turbo 350 in it... That babys got no overdrive, and it doesnt say the gears are changed so you are gonna be running about 3500-3700 rpm at 70mph... Thats horrible for milage. City wont be bad, but highway will kill ya. Might wanna see if you can get him to throw a set of highway gears in the deal if hes got a chevy truck shop, he will have some taller gears.
