new takes on throttle body
hey guys, new to the forum but have been in blazers for some time. actually learned to drive in a 1988 s10 tahoe blazer. i ride a 2000 blazer Lt. had to get 4wd so i picked her up for $1900, 124k, real clean. anyway, caught a slight misfire and got to work. decided to swap out plugs, wires, o2 sensors, maf, pcv and hose assembly, and now running nice. but im thinking about doing some preventative intake work- mpfi, new intake manifold gaskets upper and lower, and maybe a few others as i come across them in process. i have seen many videos come up about the "free throttle body mod" and have read into the pros and cons, my question is: has anybody here ever just shortened that flange instead of cutting it all the way off? and if so, what did you notice? i was thinking a bit more responsive but not as jumpy. but that is just theory for me. any opinions or experience shared would be great. thanks.
