'98 LS, 4dr, 4wd, stock, 109K miles
Over the past four days, 4/18-22, I drove round trip from Kansas City, MO to Alexandria, MN = 1206 miles. About 200 miles of it was on I-29, the rest was all two lane state highways and county roads (because that's the way I like to do it). My average cruising speed was in the 55-60 range. I used 53.1 gals of gas for an average mpg of 22.7. I've owned the truck since '99, and this mpg is consistent with what it's always done on the highway at those speeds.

2003 LS 4DR 4WD Stock with 166,0xx miles and counting
Drove from Corning NY to Mayville NY to Fredonia NY, back to Mayville, to Erie PA and then back to Corning NY. Round trip about 432 miles on Sunday. Average cruising speed was 75 MPH and the Blazer achieved about 18.1 MPG on both tanks. Considering the average speed, this is what I would expect, if not slightly higher than normal.

Saturday/sunday.
Springfield OH to Canton OH and back.
Cruise set at speed limits, 65, 60 and 55.** Almost all freeway plus 2 shorts trips for coffee and idling 10 minutes to charge battery on another car.

Stop for gas at each direction I-70 & US 42, cheapest prices in OH:$3.58 name brands.
exactly 299.9 miles between fillups. DIC showed 20.7, took 14.5 gals. Close enough to 21.
Next 35 miles home, 65 except for 6 miles of construction @ 58 mph. As we neared home exit, DIC showed 22.9, and it was downhill and light traffic so out of gear coast the last 3/4 mile.. got me to 23.1 at ramp stop sign.

This matched, close enough, mileage from last Canton trip.. 21.3 total. I've previously found that the difference between cruise at 70 and at 65 is about 2 mpg. That over more than a ten mile stretch, each, on I 70.

Wife commute. 12 miles ea way plus takes truck to buy lunch ea day ~ 2 miles more. in shop center traffic. Typ AVG 15.3. Was 13.9 before changing thermostat {broke-168 deg} but also cool weather.

** When I say @ speed limits, that's nominal. I set it to pace shoulder lane traffic.
Anyone tries to hypermile at expense of others is an asshole.
Just so happens there are a LOT of people now who drive speed limit. That makes it easier.

Well, wait for it. OH used to be like most other states.. if you werent 11 over, they didnt bother you. Now it seems to be about 4 or 5 over that's the cut-off. Gotta get that money from somewhere.

Oh, yeah.. I get passed a lot. but I dont get glared at. and like I say.. I keep pace. Had a trucker stay behind me for ~ 15 miles coming down I 71. Think I was actual about 67 - 68..not trying to 'push' me like they sometimes do, either.

i dont think i posted in here yet.

my vehicle that i checked it on was a 1990 c1500 pick up truck with a 305. ended up getting 14mpg. guestimate out of 200 miles driven, 80 was on highway. 20 was towing a car without over drive and the rest was just the stop and go to work and back. so thats not to bad for a old heavy truck

Finally got my '95 4wd blazer road legal! Drove to work and back, 64 mile round trip. Filled up with 2.9 gallons this afternoon for an average of 22 mpg. Much higher than I was expecting! Pretty decent for a heavy 4x4 with the spare tire strapped to the roof causing all sorts of air resistance.

The drive was about 60% highway, the rest being moderate city traffic. The highway speed averaged about 60 mph, with the in town about 30 mph.

i get about 21-22 average. 1999 s10 blazer LT 4 wheel and 4 door. i have a stock air box and stock exhaust, just a k&n oem style filter, rebuilt motor has about 120k miles on it, no fluid leaks and i keep the tach between 1-2 thousand rpms, the only time my truck sees snow is when i have to put it in 4x4 low to get out of the driveway when i get plowed in by the town guy, and when its snowing on the way to the lake to go drill some holes in the ice to get some fish for dinner. deer season it sees dry dirt, thats it. cheaper to baby it than put the hammah down, unless your chasing massholes up 95 north you get tired of them bobbing and weaving too close to your truck in their mercedes or lexus so they can put their boat in the lake...like massachussets doesnt have a single lake to put their jet skis and boats in!!!!

2000 2dr 4wd 5-speed Blazer I recently got 21 mpg on a trip with 2 full sized canoes 4 people in the truck and the back area full to the roof. Then I got 24 mpg on the way back but that was without the canoes.
I haven't had the blazer long but I got 18 mpg on my first tank full but that was mostly city driving and a lot of parts and fluids were changed during that time.
