I have a 1994 S10 pickup, ext. cab 4x4...I have been looking for a donor...particularly for components of the rear end. I have found a fella ready to crush a 1997 Blazer 4x4, 4 door through social media and hes happy to let me haul it away for free (blown motor, I know my TBI 4.3 in my truck is not ideal to go in the blazer). Parts my little pickup really needs are the rear components of the drivetrain...particularly rear diff, axles, brake drums, shocks and leafs....and wouldn't it be nice to just pull that as one peice and swap it. Now before I go asking I will say I understand there is an RPO code that will tell me the ratio and that itself will answer a good portion of my question. Also I assume a VIN lookup will tell me other vital specs I can compare and (hopefully) match directly to the S10. I am waiting for the Blazer owner to send me this information so I figured in the meantime I would reach out to a community that may already know my answers. Basically my question is "what parts, if any will fit my 1994 S10 4x4, ext. cab from a 1997 Blazer 4x4, 4DR??" Thanks in advance for any insight...I dont want to haul away his scrap metal of I cant use any of it!
