Plasti-dip

So my work buddy is getting a full paint kit from plasti-dip. He's going to learn how to paint so he can paint his truck and he knows that i want to do mine orange instead of the white that i have now. I am waiting to see how his turns out.

But my question is, has anyone seen someone plasti-dip a whole truck before?
I have heard like rims and hoods, smaller parts that go on the truck, but never a whole truck. does anyone know anything about this? or how it would turn out?

They plasti-dipped and entire dodge ram on YouTube here is the video link
There is also one where they did a car. Ok looked it up and there is a ton of vehicles that have been dipped.

great i guess if you never get any stones or things tossed at the paint. i did it on my stang to mock up some paint ideas. i wouldnt say a permanent finish..but good idea if you wanna see if a paint idea grows on you.

i was watching a couple weeks back on you tube, a dude in Florida
that has a business doing the plasi-dip thing, also has a full web site
and all the stuff to do what ever one can imagine, he has a Audi A7 or somthing like that he plasi-dipped, and also demonstrates how simple the whole thing is, the Gun metal color on the wheels that he did is really neat.
Seems like this has been going on in the custom arena for some time

My brother did his VW emblem and it held up pretty good mind you its lowered so no gravel roads for him. I have only ever used the stuff on my duramax bumper to see if i actually wanted it black. Works really good but expensive up here in canada!

Works fine until the first "chip" then the next time you wash it even a garden hose will make it start peeling.

I use it to get an idea of major changes before I waste bedliner or good paint and can't go back. Even if ya can't get a color you like you can spray it with cheap spray bombs to get a look. As soon as it warms up I'm gonna put some stripes on my noma just to see if I like it on there.

lots of videos on youtube. i dipped my chrome bumpers on my k5 they still look like the day i did it. it wont hold up as hell tho if you are gonna be rubbing against crap all the time and on thin edges it will come off. on my mirrors it did anyways.
