Default please help

i read about how to reset passlock sensor of gm vehicle (2002 chevy blazer for ex) the procedure is as following:

key on then try to start engine then key on for 10 minutes until security lamp turn off then key off for 10 seconds then try starting engine if it runs then ok if not repeat the step 2 times then start engine.

for my blazer i waited the first 10 minutes the blanking security lamp stopped blacking after this 10 and remained on , really i did not crank the engine to test. the topic i read says the lamp would turn off after 10 minutes.

my question is : is there problem ?

other question to all who own blazer : when you put key into on will be the status of security lamp on for moments then off or stay on all the time as long as key is still on ?

sorry for my bad English.

thank you for help
