Default Power Seat

I’m in the market for a 2000 - 2005 Blazer. If not equipped with a Power Drivers Seat, are they pre wired?
Thanks

Most Blazers are pre-wired for power seats. Even on the base models with full manual seats, the harness is tucked under the carpet below the seat.

On both my 96 Blazer and on my 2002 Sonoma I was able to swap out the broken manual cloth seats and get power heated leather seats with memory location functions. The harness was under the carpet. I had to lift the carpet from the side with the factory seat removed to find the harness and fish it out through the opening below the seat, and it plugged right in. The fuse panel already had the proper fuses for the power heated seats, so I didn't have to make any changes other than bolting down the new seat and plugging it in.

I'm glad to hear this! I saw the connector under my seat and thought "Hey can I.....?" So....my question is, are the heater controls for heated seats built into the seat itself?? I'd love to swap power/heated seats into my 2002 LS.

I can confirm that the controls for the heated seats are on the seat itself.

Funny story to go along with this! Back when I had my 2000 Bravada... My wife and I were moving from Western NY back to the Finger Lakes region where we grew up and my father-in-law was tasked with driving the Bravada between our two houses. Somehow when he got into the Bravada he hit the heated seat switch and put it on HI; a setting I commonly referred to as NUCLEAR due to the unbearable heat it would generate! He couldn't figure out what was going on until it was way too late and ended up jumping out of the truck on the side of the road frantically waving his hands across his back side. To this day that is one of the funniest things my wife and I have seen.

Haha! That's good stuff! Well good....sounds like I can just drop them in and go. The trick will be finding some in good shape....all the power/heated seats are leather if memory serves....

Yes, the heated seat option was only available with leather. I'm not sure if they all are, but the ones I swapped in also have the memory seat function, where you can program the seat position for 2 different drivers.

My old Bravada had the memory function as well, but I wasn't sure if they all had that feature as well so I didn't mention it.

My 1998 Jimmy has heated power seats, but does not have the memory function as far as I know.

I pulled the manual cloth seats out of my 2005 and the plug for the seatbelt light for into the socket but it only powered the movement parts, not the heated or lumbar. Did you use the same one for the seatbelt light or was there a second plug tucked in there?
