Default Power Window Issue

My 2001 blazer is having an issue with the drivers power window. From the drivers window control panel I can open and close all other windows except the drivers. I don't hear any clicking or any other noise when I press the button for the drivers window. This window was working a week ago and has recently stopped working.

Does anyone have any idea what it might be? Any quick fix?

I had the same issue, replaced the door with one from the scrap yard and it worked fine... Would say your window motor is shot

I have the same exact problem. I just installed the new $120 switch set and same thing every window is happy except the driver's side. Sound like a new motor is my future.. No there is no refund on electric parts once they been installed.

Could be the motor window but also the switch. I have had an issue with what I think is a loose connection in the plug to the switch.

About twice a year, my front driver window stops working. Pull the door panel off, a couple good taps with a hammer, and I'm back in business for another 6-8 months.

Interesting... haven't tried that lol, I'm still using the scrap yard door... been contemplating taking it out, and putting it in the original door, then throwing that back on...

Oh, man. I fell for the necro thread!

Also, I think you get super member at 1,000 posts. Kinda curious as to when the next title happens!

Technically you fell for it, but apparently someone new had the same symptoms, and commented that they might be into a new motor... lol so it still helped... ish...
