Prefered Torque Wrench

I'm in the market for a 1/2 inch Torque Wrench and I am curious to find out what is used from this forum. A good click type going up to 250 foot pounds would be adequate I would think.

What make do you use?

I had a kobalt torque wrench from lowes for a while. Seemed to work great. Then one day while i was at the junkyard i was under a truck and crawled out and someone had stole it out of my bag. I was right beside it..sneaky lil ****.

I prefer a calibrated one. Unbeknownst to many if not most shade tree mechanics, every torque wrench needs to be calibrated periodically.

Where do you even have them calibrated? I never could find anyone to do it.

I have a 1/2" drive MAC torque wrench that I used to use at my old job. I have loved this wrench and have had many years of great torquing with it. I used to have it re-calibrated once a year. I also bought a 3/8" drive MAC torque wrench that I use on smaller applications.

Whatever ones my neighbors had when I was putting my engine back together...
