Ran over a latter at 65 mph!

So I was cruising Down loop 410 minding my own business and. See a sign that said something like debris in the road so I saw some tire skins and thought o that what they were talking about.well about 5 miles later I'm in the second lane going 65 out of no where this escalade cuts me off and hits the brakes, well I was like wtf so I got over to pass him and there it was a aluminum latter laying long ways I'm going 65 and there's cars all around me so I couldn't do anything but hit it.well I did and went air born not much but enough to know I was crooked in the air my truck hits the ground and just keeps on rolling down the road no flat tire or nothing, and this thing was looking pretty jagged from other idiots like me hitting but anywho the blazer took it like a champ and just kept on rolling ****s crazy

daanbc05 02-04-2014 04:26 PM

Lucky no damage was done! Could have easily snagged a brake line or something.

I can confirm this!! Much easier, many times sharted in the seats from stupid drivers not watching the road and almost crashing into the beloved jimmy. Wiped right off.

Epic man. Glad everything turned out okay for you. This sounds like an "Urban Offroad" thread story.

Shtbox 02-07-2014 11:20 AM

That's a blazer, Me and my wife were going down I-94 and we smacked a set of Semi tire chains that fell off a semi infront of us. Tweeked the steering, made me mad but hey, could of been worse.

justaguywithtools 03-03-2014 03:13 PM

surprised no one said anything, i ran over a former once, as opposed to a latter. thankfully no one ran over a LADDER. those can due some damage ;)

05canjimmy 03-05-2014 05:52 PM

wow thats crazy never hit a ladder but have had one fall off the rack on the service van once luckily not on a hiway and just landed in the ditch but dont think i would wanna hit one

derekbroerse 03-27-2014 12:58 PM

Hmmm.. maybe next time you'll pay more attention to a 'Debris on Road Warning' sign or something similar? Maybe slow down a little and keep the eyes open? I mean, sh!t can sneak up on you and such, but you were even warned ahead of time!!!

Personally, I would have taken the ladder home!! :D Even as scrap...

A friend of mine smoked a bedliner on the highway in his F150... KO'd the front air dam and tore off the right hand running board. Black item on the road at night... ouch.
