While not trying to denigrate the info, keep in mind that it comes from the company that makes Seafoam ('puffery' in advertising parlance), so take it for what it's worth.

I just got my blazer and as it came from an auction was unsure if it had sat or when the last time the oil was changed. When the engine was cold (up til about 200 degrees) it had a real bad knock. I looked around on this forum and found someone else had the same problem and someone recommended sea foam. I added a half can to my crankcase and put about a mile on it getting back to the house. next day I started the car and same knock only this time it settled down in less than a minute. I put 60 miles on the car that day and have never heard the knock since. I don't think it will magically turn back the clock. but for a sticky lifter there may not be anything better.
