Rear brakes
 

I have a 1997 , 2 Dr. 4wd Blazer. I just recently noticed that during rain, when my hands are wet, the black on the steering wheel gets on my hands. Too late for warranty fix. have not heard of this in seraching warranty issues on the vehicle.

Yes it is possible. Howerver, IMO, not worth it. It is a very labor intensive job and rather pricey. The rear disc setup doesn't give you a noticeable gain in stopping power. The fronts do about 70% either way.

but id rather get a rear end with disks from a junkyard :icon_badrazz:

I agree, gio, just because its "old" technology, doesn't mean its bad.

well i do hate replacing shoes but eh its cheaper then disks =D

You could get a conversion kit, swap in an s10 disc rear, or take the disc mounting parts from a disc rear end. I'm putting a disc rear end into my 90. Mostly because finding the right rear setup I need was more common in disc.

I believe it's only worth it if you are doing a sas swap and wanted to swap the rear end as well. If you wanted to have a (Insert axle choice here) dana44 front and rear.

Lol.. ditto all the above.
The primary purpose of the rear brakes is to keep the back end from passing the front end.

Seriously, If you have braking problems better to find the real culprit, and it's up front.
