Default Resistors - and which is which?

Aright so I went to the source to pick up a 2.2 ohm resistor. They didn't have just one, but a pack of 150 and 75 different ratings. how do I tell the difference?

First 2 bands of colour are the first 2 digits, the 3rd band is the multiplier, I forget what the fourth band is exactly lol.

so if the first band gives you 2, and the second gives you 7, if the multiplier is 10, then its a 270Ohm resister.

I'm doing the Auto Headlight Disable. Although I'm confused. On here it says 2.2 ohm, and on the link to the original it says a 680 ohm. So i don't know what to go with!

There is a break somewhere around 98-99 where before that, it was 680ohm to 1k ohm and newer than that, it was 2.2k ohm.

Depends on the # of bands on the resistor
2.2k = 2200 =
4 bands: red, red, red
5 bands: red, red, black, tan
6 bands: same thing as 5 bands, last band is a temperature co-efficient.
