Roof lights finally hooked up.

I've now got my roof lights all working. Just a bit of tidying up to do in respect of the roof terminal box & connecting through the high beams to comply with legal requirements.
Oic's attached. I could only move the truck back 12 metres but it still looks good.

1. Low Beams
2. High beams
3.Hi + inner lights
4. Hi + outer lights
5. Hi + ALL 4 lights

100watt each!! What's yours? Times 5 must be awesome especially with lights both low & high up. Do your lights also need to be hooked up to the high beams?
Friday is a public holiday & I hope to take the Blazerto the beach late afternoon / early evening to see the effect. Also to test her beach abilities. Weather & tides permitting.

My lights are on their own switch... They're not legal for on road use... Technically.

Mine are 100w each as well.

Yea...unfortunately we have to have them wired to go off when the high beams come on...I believe that's a federal DOT thing, not state-mandated..not sure who makes your rules in Canada ;)

I have mine wired to go on independently of the high beams, but I can still pass inspection by putting the covers on the lights indicating they're for off road use only :D

Looks cool, makes me want to get some roof/bumper lights.

What are you guys doign electrical system wise? Wouldn't that many lights have an effect on your electric load. Also I think one if not more of you have subwoofers too, how has that been affected?

I havn't seen any problems..but I've only got 2-100 watters....The dogs have bumped the switch and turned the lights on while the engine was off a couple times...and it'll drain the battery in a good 20 minutes or so:eek:. Other than that, no problems:D

Am I going to have to run them through the high beams? I wanted them on a seperate switch.

No issues for me, so long as they're not on too long while I'm stopped :D

Will, you can wire it up so the switch only gets power when the highbeams are on...

Or you can put covers on 'em if you need to pass inspection...

In Canada, you're only allowed a maximum of 4 lights on, when on the roads...

So, low beams + fogs, or high + lows, or highs + 1 pair of driving lights.
