Rpo codes
Hello all, Is there a list of the options relating to the RPO codes that I can access? Thanks.

There are websites that have these and others that will decode your RPO codes using your VIN. The later are more accurate as they are for the proper year and vehicle but often cost a few dollars.

Some of those links did not work but I got a good link over in my thread about best and worst years. A question about the codes tho...
I read somewhere that the G80 was a POSI type rear end a G20 was a locker. The RPO code attachment I recently linked to refutes that and says a G80 is a locker. Are these true lockers or a corporate change by Chevy from the 12 bolt Posi rear ends? G80 was the option according to the booklet but I could not find a G20 code. Most of the stickers in the glove boxes that I have looked at are the G80 codes. Going to look at one next week. Thanks again. |

To what I can find, not sure if it's good or bad info, but the g20 axle would be the true lock, as the g80 is posi.
You got me curious. |
