S Series or XJ

I hate to admit this bothers and sisters, but I almost traded my '03 Blazer for a '01 Cherokee XJ.

I really like the acceleration that the 4.0 had in the Cherokee. What changed my mind was the overall. If you think a Blazer has a cheap plastic interior you have not been in an XJ.

Where it seems like the 4.0 in the Jeep had better acceleration, it lacked the smooth performance provided by the 4.3.

I'm still a blazer owner for now....

The only thing that might get me out of it would be a Nissan Pathfinder, maybe...

I personally like the interior in the blazers.

I like the XJ body, curb weight, and inline 6, that's where it ends.

Full frame beats unibody

I've put a v8 in one XJ, s10 wins on that

Only place XJ wins is in aftermarket. Great if you only like throwing cash at a project. Personally I like building my truck and parts. My blazer isn't simply a page out of rustys offroad.

Then again we all know what a jeep and tampon has in common.

XJ was on my list when I was looking for a replacement SUV for my wife. Prices were higher than I wanted to pay on anything workable though, that and not a fan of unibodies (though they do have their place). Honestly wasn't looking for a Blazer when I got mine but the price was right for what I got and got into it to make it driveable for her.

That's anything dealing with jeep. I've seen parts on ebay sell double for 2.8 v6 than the gm counterpoint just cause they were listed for jeep. Gm sold the engines to amc so they are exactly the same as 85 older gm 2.8s. Then again I've seen 2.8 parts listed for camaro/firebird sell for higher than s-series and that's also the same engine (minus factory cam and that swaps).

Overall jeep is overpriced. Maybe back when they were military issue they were better but over the years they have yuppie trucks for people who like to pay too much and bolt on (the same as everybody else) parts to be different.

I have owned 2 xjs now and my family has built a few wranglers. Last 2 wrangles the only jeep parts left on them was a VIN.

There aren't even Jeeps being made anymore. Just Chrysler crossovers slapped with a Jeep badge. New Grand Cherokee is independent front and rear suspension
