S10 ZR2 Too Expensive or Good Deal ???

So I found a 03' S10 ZR2 for sale and they are asking $7,000 for it I just wanted to get everyone's input on if they think it is overpriced or if it is a good deal. Here is the link.

So do you think it is even worth offering like $4,000? or around that price range.

RUN! That's a good bit of miles for an '03 and he's crazy if he thinks he's getting that much for a rattle-canned truck.

yea that price is kinda ridiculous

How much would you offer? KBB says it is worth $8,200 and then I figure take about $3,000 off of that because of the rattle can paint job and the high miles so that leaves it around $5,000 what do you think?

depends on area its hard to tell with out looking at the truck

KBB has gotten ridiculous. They're a tool of the car lots.. they barely manage to react to the real market, let alone follow the market.
Think about this.. seems to be an uptrend in new car sales. That means the used market goes down.

EDIT: Because I'm helpful.. I looked at several CL locations and searched the truck.
He obviously did too. will say that price is high for any location considering the paint. But there's many quoting that price neighborhood and higher.
I think best deals are in Phoenix.

Are you in a hurry?
How long's it been on the list?
why are you trying to figure out how much to offer BEFORE you look at it?

- you ARE planning to crawl under it, arent you?

Go see it and look close. Figure out the max you'll pay for it hand him a card with your phone # and tell him to call you before he accepts an offer for what you consider your top dollar.
Final word: Cars usually look a lot better in pix than in person. And that looks like a POS in the pix.

Honestly, I wouldn't pay more than $3,500 for that truck, and only if it's otherwise well maintained and mechanically sound. The rattle can paint job says to me a kid owned it so it may very well be beat to crap. Plus you have to ask yourself why it was rattle canned? Was it wrecked and he just slapped new panels on and rattle canned it to cover up the mismatched paint?

honestly I am thinking $4,000 max I will check it in out top bottom and see what the damage is thanks for the help everyone.
