Ok I think Iwon'tbe able to go for K5 blazer, man that hurts. I've been looking a few and most will cost lots of money to "repair" being in college I don't have much money as it is. So unfortunately I have to go towards a newer model but I don't know where to start. I've been looking the tahoe 1995 2D or sportits seems alright. I'm looking for something in the chevy blazer K5 family so far the tahoe ( older model) seems to fit the bill. I need something to be my daily driver but also to go off roading.

I know it depends on what I want in truck but I'd like to hear some suggestions just incase I missed anything.

Thanks

Why a full size? I wouldn't buy a full size Chevy if I was in your shoes. If you're worried about potential repair bills for the K5, I can't imagine its gonna be that muchbetter with a full size Tahoe. I'd look at something smaller with fewer known problems like a Nissan Pathfinder or better yet a Toyota 4 Runner.

I'm in college also and while I like my Blazer, I don't like it that much as a DD or my sole vehicle anymore. I'd be much happier if I had, in addition, a $800 beater Civic or something to drive and the Blazer for that 1-2 times a week trip to the grocery store or off-road trail.

My dad drives a 99 ford f350 powerstroke and he just bought a 300 dollar audi to drive to work. its a good idea to do if you have4 the extra money to buy the car.

Oh no I don't want those full size soccor mom SUVs, I was talking about the tahoe sport or LS 2D. I REALLY like the toyota prerunner pick ups but there's no way it could fit my current 170 great dane and future dane. I take him hiking with me every other day so that is why I need the "extra" room, but I don't want anything TOO big like I have now.
