Taking 96 grill guard off and putting it on 99.

A 96 blazer 4door just came in to the junk yard I work at. I have the opportunity to take off the grill guard for free, but I don't think it will fit my 99 4door blazer.

I've included pictures of both the junkyard car and my car.

Will the grill guard fit on my blazer?

With the right tools and a little creativity, it will fit just fine.

Seriously, though, it looks pretty close.

Same body style so I would assume it would interchange. It's not a ZR2 so that's not a problem. I would imagine it's a bolt on.

The fit is bolt on. I know that the body style is slightly different after 1997

It should work fine.

It looks like the Aries I have on my rig right now. Two lower brackets on the tow hooks, and two up top, connected through the bumper bolts to the top of the frame rails.

Pro tip: Pay special attention to how all the brackets and bolts appear on the donor blazer...maybe take pics? It will save you time on installation later.
