chicago is the "Sam's Choice" of power tools. Great waranty, but not so hot in the long run. it's good for things you want to punish: power drills, saws, etc. I wouldn't run a chicago winch very long and expect it to keep kicking. that being said, smittybuilt is a trooper of the lower end gear. Warn is over priced, you are paying for the name IMO
