v8 swap question on a 2nd gen

doing a little research it looks like putting a 383 in a 2001 blazer may not be possible if its a 4X4 correct? dabbling w/the idea of putting my 383 in my Blazer and my 496 in my Trans Am.

It can and has been done. 4wd makes it more complicated/difficult, but not impossible. JagsthatRun.com literally wrote the book on s-series v8 swaps. They don't have as much information on the newer trucks as they do on the older ones, but it would be a good place to start.

and after the stroker swap...................

comes the SAS build! :icon_teeth:

in fact, don't you have some extra corprate 12 bolts or floaters for sale Kyle? those would fit nicely with that 383 of his. :icon_wink:

I'm holding onto my floater! I should have another D44/12-bolt setup once I get around to picking up that '74 Jimmy junker.

brother, you should read through the tech sections, this has been cover 10-fold before.

also, since this is someone else's thread, you really shouldn't be taking it in your direction.

look around, you'll find what you're after fairly easily. :icon_wink:
