v8 swap question on a 2nd gen
doing a little research it looks like putting a 383 in a 2001 blazer may not be possible if its a 4X4 correct? dabbling w/the idea of putting my 383 in my Blazer and my 496 in my Trans Am.
|
It can and has been done. 4wd makes it more complicated/difficult, but not impossible. JagsthatRun.com literally wrote the book on s-series v8 swaps. They don't have as much information on the newer trucks as they do on the older ones, but it would be a good place to start.

and after the stroker swap...................
comes the SAS build! :icon_teeth: in fact, don't you have some extra corprate 12 bolts or floaters for sale Kyle? those would fit nicely with that 383 of his. :icon_wink: |
I'm holding onto my floater! I should have another D44/12-bolt setup once I get around to picking up that '74 Jimmy junker.

there ya go Mike. Kyle will hook you up with some nice 'n beefy diff's!

brother, you should read through the tech sections, this has been cover 10-fold before. also, since this is someone else's thread, you really shouldn't be taking it in your direction. look around, you'll find what you're after fairly easily. :icon_wink: |
